Virtual Detroit Festival of Books

July 16-18, 2021

 

Detroit Festival of Books will feature a Virtual Bookfest on its platform www.DetroitBookfest.com for the weekend of July 16-18, 2021.

 

The Virtual Bookfest will open at 1:00 A.M. EST on the 16th and run until Midnight EST on the 18th.

 

Vendors are not selling items directly on our website. We are creating a digital gathering of vendors. Customers will click on the vendors links and thereby will be transported to their third party digital storefronts and weblinks where they can purchase items.

 

You (Vendor) agree that you have read everything carefully and will indemnify, defend, and hold Detroit Festival of Books (Detroit Bookfest) harmless and without liability in connection with any breach of any law, policy, rule, and/or regulation applicable to the services, goods, and other Event-related activities of the festival.

 

Detroit Festival of Books (Detroit Bookfest) reserves the right to change and/or alter these terms and conditions at any time deemed necessary.

 

LIABILITY and FORCE MAJEURE

 

The Vendor agrees to protect, keep, and save Detroit Festival of Books (Detroit Bookest), forever harmless from any damage(s) or charge(s) imposed for violations of any ordinance or regulation by the Vendor, his employees or agents, as well as failure to comply with the terms and agreements of this contract.

 

Further, Vendors shall at all times protect, indemnify, save, and keep harmless Detroit Festival of Books (Detroit Bookfest) against and from any loss, cost, damage, liability, or expense which arises out of or from or by reason of any act or omission of the Vendor, his employees, or agents.

 

AMENDMENTS: Detroit Festival of Books (Detroit Bookfest) shall have the full power in the interpretation and enforcement of all contract regulations contained herein, and the power to make such amendments thereto, and such further rules and regulations as shall be considered necessary and proper. Failure to abide by the terms of this contract may result in ejection from event or being permanently banned from the event.

 

The foregoing represents the agreement between the undersigned Vendor and Detroit Festival of Books (Detroit Bookfest).

Vendor terms and conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Annual Detroit Festival of Books (aka: Detroit Bookfest)

3rd Sunday in July

10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Eastern Market, Shed 5

Detroit, Michigan

 

Set-up time for Vendors is 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on the 3rd Sunday in July. Tear-down is 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

 

Detroit Festival of Books (Detroit Bookfest) only provides the table(s). Please make sure to bring your own chairs. And remember, this event is Rain or Shine.

 

The tables are 72 in. long x 30 in. wide x 30 in. tall. They are durable wood-top tables.

 

All additional furnishings and equipment are the responsibility of Vendor. You will NOT bring other or additional tables. You will NOT block or interfere with any other Vendor’s area. You will keep your area clean and you will be responsible for any damage.

 

There is absolutely no guarantee ever of Vendor’s table(s) location at the event. Table Map can be subject to change without notice.

 

All decisions regarding the display of materials shall rest solely with Detroit Festival of Books (Detroit Bookfest) whereby if we ask you to move or remove something or multiple things, you will do so immediately and without protest.

 

Any and all damage caused to the building, property, tables is the sole responsibility of Vendor.

 

Sharing your table is fine. Subletting your table to third parties is not allowed.

 

Neither Detroit Festival of Books (Detroit Bookfest) nor Eastern Market are responsible for any theft or loss of Vendor’s property.
